Beer Passport's guide to some of the best Beer Gardens

BEER GARDEN SEASON IS HERE!

BEER GARDEN SEASON IS HERE! 1080 1080 hello_admin

It’s the bank holiday season! And that means it’s Beer Garden season!

As the weather improves and the days get longer, there’s nothing quite like a crisp, refreshing beer out in the sun. Here at Beer Passport, we’re big fans of the noble British tradition of stubbornly sitting outside in low double-digit temperatures to sip a cold drink. Beer Passport London 2023 is loaded with craft beer taprooms and beer gardens. And with that in mind, here are a few of our favourites.

Two Tribes Campfire

Based near Kings Cross, Two Tribes is born out of collaboration, celebrating their twin passions of music and beer. The Campfire venue is centred around an open firepit, where chefs serve up great food to a backdrop of visiting musicians and DJs.

Wimbledon Brewery

SW19’s second most famous landmark is surely the Wimbledon Brewery taproom, a party paradise just a few minutes walk from Colliers Wood station.

You’ll find live sports, festivals, and comedy nights, as well as delicious beer and award-winning gin. As always when the summer arrives, it’s time to go to Wimbledon!

Located around 5 minutes walk from Gipsy Hill station, you’ll find fresh Gipsy Hill beers on draft alongside guest cask, wine, spirits, and plenty of lo/no alcohol options. There are also delicious food options, with local street food vendors on rotation, plus free delivery from Yardsale Pizza every day.

Signature Brewery – Blackhorse Road

There are a few beer gardens up on Blackhorse Road (check out Beer Passport’s Blackhorse Road taproom trail right here), with Signature probably being the biggest.

There’s ample seating (with heaters that prove useful as the evening goes on), where you can enjoy tremendous beers, great musicians and comedians, and a mouth-watering selection of burgers, wings, and loaded fries.

Beer Passport recommends: Backstage, 5.6% IPA

40FT Brewery

Located in Dalston, 40FT were originally 2 x 20ft shipping containers. They’ve now expanded to a beautiful sprawling brewery and taproom. Tucked away off the main high street, you can’t miss this belting sun trap of a taproom on those warmer days.
